We are actively hiring for multiple virtual interior designer positions to keep up with growing demand.
What We’re Looking For

You have either a degree or formal training in interior design—or substantial, proven experience in residential decorating and design. You’re proficient in Photoshop and confident using 3D rendering and design platforms like DesignFiles, Homestyler, Canva, Coohom, or similar.
You’re skilled at space planning and know how to create aesthetically balanced, on-brand 2D concept boards that clearly communicate your vision and inspire client confidence. You’re comfortable designing in a wide variety of styles and have a strong ability to listen closely to a client’s needs, interpret their unique aesthetic, and translate it into a space that feels both personal and functional.
You also have a broad knowledge of both big-box and boutique retailers and know exactly where to source the perfect pieces to bring a design to life.

You’re a natural communicator—highly confident in client-facing interactions, whether on virtual calls, written communication, or through Loom recorded design presentations.
You thrive in 1:1 interactions and have a warm, engaging personality that puts people at ease, builds instant trust, and fosters strong, lasting connections.
You always put the client first and demonstrate exceptional customer service with timely and clear follow-ups, ensuring every client feels supported and projects stay on track.

You’re self-motivated, resourceful, and know how to take initiative—no micromanaging needed. Confident in troubleshooting various design & communication software.
You’re great at prioritizing your to-do list, staying focused, and working independently in a remote setting. You have solid time management skills, follow structured processes with ease, and always hit your deadlines.
Juggling multiple client projects at once? You’ve got it—fast-paced and dynamic is your jam.

We’re hiring experienced virtual interior designers to join our thriving remote team! Applicants must be able to dedicate at least 30 hours a week and have proven skills in 3D rendering, space planning, and 2D mood board creation. You should be confident designing in a wide variety of styles and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
This is an independent contractor position open to US residents only.

Our Hiring Process

Show off your 2D board and 3D rendering design skills, and share a little about yourself. If we think your design skills match what we’re looking for, we’ll invite you to the next round!

You have caught our eye! Now, we want to see how you think and interact with clients. We’ll give you a sample space and ask you to create a short 5-minute or less Loom video sharing recommendations and a space plan with a sample client.

We love what we’re seeing! At this stage, we want to see your design skills at work! We’ll provide a mock client design brief for you to create 2D and 3D design deliverables.

The third step in our process is pretty much a vibe check! We think you’re an excellent candidate and want to make sure it is a great fit all around.

If we’re totally obsessed after our Zoom interview, we’ll invite you to the final paid test project round. We’ll provide you with access to our online software, where you’ll show off your skills in real time with a test client and get a taste of our process and design platform.

My deepest desire is to help people create life-giving environments within their homes that restore, inspire, and help them gather the people they love together. While working in ministry at a local church for six years, I saw just how powerful well-designed spaces were in achieving that vision. The environments we create in our homes have the power to change the way we feel, even our lives, for ourselves and others. That’s why I started Homzie in 2019.
I dreamed of helping people take the hard work out of home decorating by creating a seamless online interior design experience. Giving them the confidence to open the doors to their homes. To date, Homzie has helped hundreds of clients from across the country decorate like pros. It’s incredible to be able to turn our clients’ homes into spaces they love to share.
Home is personal, we believe the design experience should be also.
